Main Ship Log, Stardate 102180.5, en route to Khellian system.
I don't like conducting trade or courier contacts with either of the two Empires. Klingons have been worn out from their civil war few years back and RSE is running on an auxiliary power, so to speak.

But the pay is good and this little starhopper needs some love at the dry docks.

sigh It's been a while since I've done one of these logs. Don't know how to conduct them anymore. After my flight from Scalara Prime, I settled down on this little ship with two unlikely compatriots. Two more joined only recently, but they keep the ship running. It's not a life of exploration I had in Starfleet... certainly not with a sensor suite currently have. laugh But we still get to see the universe.

We are en route to Khellian system, to deliver some crop seeds to a small colony that has been growing. With the Alliance being kept busy with this multi-Borg crisis, it has fallen on vagabonds like us to buzz around, preferably undetected... or at least looking to be unworthy of assimilation on long range scans.

The Azure sector and adjacent space are still questionable to navigate. A place where Federation, Klingons and two Romulan states meet is bound to have friction. Not to mention there is always a non-zero probability that some particularly nasty Tholian slips through those subspace tunnels in the Nebula.

But then again, it was about time that Elements serve us some good will.

My old colleague from the Main Engineering aboard USS Dawn Treader would have likely used several expletives mentioning le matya's ass and excretions after what happened.

Frain was shot down by an Imperial Mogai, in spite of my repeated hails explaining our mission. Luckily... or perhaps not so luckily, the Mogai itself was ambushed by three vessels of Klingon design. I am not sure if these folks are associated with KDF, are they pirates themselves or some kind of vigilantes flying around their birds-of-prey, but...

They pulled our burning nacelles out of the fire. They boarded us for inspection once they disabled the Mogai vessel. A Ferasan from IKS Thorm, T'hav I believe it was his name, was especially irritating, but Sesrin was not easily intimated.

I can understand their doubt about Alliance's outreach to the dying Empire but... as a half Romulan myself, I have to give it try.

We are en route to their Starbase nearby, for repairs and completing the inspection. I am not sure what to expect but I believed this area of space was more tamed compared to the space stretching between Zenas Expanse and Rolor Nebula. Guess I was wrong and the joke, or rather a damage nacelle and warp governeor, was on me.
