BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Lizen is a fairly adept engineer, having started her career during a time when engineers were often viewed as miracle workers. Lizen did not count herself as a miracle worker, but she did her best to keep the equipment and ship running. During her time aboard various ships, she worked as an engineer. Her career in Starfleet was fairly slow and steady, but Lizen mostly stayed in the background and in various engineering compartments. When her ship was destroyed, Lizen and the rest of her ship's crew were presumed killed in the explosion. However, the ship was not actually destroyed, but instead transported into the future.

Once the crew's identity had been confirmed, the majority of the officers were sent back to the academy for a remedial course to catch up on the last 70 or so years. After several months of intense training, Lizen decided to take an indefinite leave from Starfleet and return home to Andoria. Once there, she was approached about joining the local defense fleet, which she reluctantly accepted after several months. Given her prior experience, the local defense fleet felt justified in giving her a command of her own, and gave her a militia rank of Commander to give her orders further legitimacy.
